Our mission

Cliqq exists to close the gap between “we should get together sometime” and actually showing up somewhere together.

The problem is more stubborn than it sounds. People are more connected than they have ever been and see each other less. The intent is there. What is missing is the small amount of coordination between wanting to do something and having it on the calendar — picking a thing worth doing, finding a time that works for everyone, and getting a few people to commit.

Every part of that already exists in some app. Events live in one place, group chats in another, calendars in a third, and the plan quietly dies in the gaps between them. We are building the place where those pieces sit together, so that making a plan takes minutes instead of a week of messages.

What we are building toward

Local first

Cliqq is about the place you actually live. Not a global feed, not content from strangers on another continent — the venue down the street, the market on Saturday, the group that meets on Thursdays. Relevance means nearby.

Small groups over large audiences

Most social software optimizes for reach. We optimize for the four people you want to see this weekend. A feature earns its place by making a small group's plan easier.

Plans that end in the real world

We measure success by whether people met up, not by time spent in the app. An app that gets you out the door quickly is doing its job. That shapes what we build and, just as often, what we decline to build.

Room for the businesses that host it

Local venues, organizers and small businesses are the reason there is anything to go to. Cliqq gives them a direct way to reach nearby people who are already looking for plans, without needing an advertising budget to be seen.

How we build

Privacy is a default, not a setting. Cliqq handles where people go and who they go with. That is sensitive by nature. We collect what the product genuinely needs, we do not sell personal information, and safety controls like blocking are enforced everywhere they should be. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what we collect and why.

Ship carefully, at a real pace. Cliqq is built by a small team. We would rather release a smaller product that works than a larger one that mostly does. That is why the app is in closed beta with a limited group of testers while we get the core right.

Be honest about where we are. Cliqq is in active development. We say so plainly on this site rather than implying a finished product. When something is not ready, we would rather tell you than have you find out.
