Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information RNW Solutions collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website (www.mycliqq.com) and the Cliqq service, including our mobile apps.
The data controller is RNW Solutions, the company that designs, builds and operates Cliqq. You can reach us at mccontact@mycliqq.com.
1. This website
These marketing pages contain no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies. We do not set a cookie when you visit and we do not build a profile of your browsing.
The pages load a typeface from Google Fonts. That request is made by your browser directly to Google, which means Google receives your IP address and basic request information as part of serving the font. We receive nothing from it. This is the only third-party request the site makes.
Our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, processes standard server logs (including IP addresses) for delivery, security and abuse prevention, as any web host does.
2. Information we collect in the Cliqq app
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address, username, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted bcrypt hash; we never store or have access to your actual password.
- Profile information — first and last name, biography, profile photo, phone number, general location and selected interests. Apart from a username, these are optional and you control what you fill in.
- Business account details — if you register a business or organization account: business name, address, business phone, operating hours, business type and description. These are published as part of your public business listing.
- Content you create — events you host or attend, group plans, availability, comments, messages you send, shares, and ratings or reviews you leave.
- Your connections — friend relationships, follows, and any users you block or choose to avoid.
Information collected automatically
- IP address and technical data — recorded against certain security-relevant and analytics events, including password reset requests, account-linking approvals, audit records and promotion views. We use these to investigate abuse, secure accounts and measure promotion performance.
- Usage records — activity within your account, such as events attended, used to build your own activity history and the counts shown on your profile.
Phone numbers
If you add a phone number, we also store a digits-only version of it so that another user who already knows your full number can find your account. This lookup requires a near-complete number and is deliberately an exact match, so your number cannot be used to enumerate accounts. Your phone number is never shown to other users through search results.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
- To provide the core service — showing relevant local events, letting you plan with others, and delivering messages and notifications.
- To keep the service safe: enforcing blocks, preventing abuse, and investigating security incidents.
- To give business accounts aggregate performance information about the events and promotions they run.
- To respond when you contact us.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this website.
5. What other people can see
Cliqq is a social product, so some information is visible to others by design: your username, name, profile photo, biography, general location and interests, plus events you host and content you post. Business account listings are public.
Your email address and phone number are not shown to other users. They are removed from responses the service sends about you to anyone other than yourself.
Anyone you block will not be able to message you, send you a friend request, follow you, share content with you, or find you in search.
6. Sharing with others
We share personal information only with service providers who make Cliqq work, and only as far as needed: Microsoft Azure for hosting, application and database infrastructure. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of our users.
Our servers and databases are located in the United States.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information, except anything we must retain for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons. Security and audit records containing IP addresses are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
8. Security
Traffic to Cliqq is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in readable form. Access to production systems is restricted. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat the information you give us as sensitive and design accordingly.
9. Your rights
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete your account and associated personal information;
- stop using your information in a particular way.
Email mccontact@mycliqq.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Cliqq is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will notify account holders directly.
12. Contact
